In Roman civilization, the forum was the official meeting point of citizens from all the territories of the Republic and then of the Empire: political, administrative and economic affairs went here to assist or participate. They concerned the community of which they were part of the territories of the Republic. The most monumental and important was obviously that of Rome, which constituted the center of the then known world. In more than a thousand years of uninterrupted operation, the Roman Forum has witnessed unrepeatable historical events and has been adorned with monuments of exceptional beauty, which we can still admire today.
