Like the adjoining convent, founded by Teresa Maria della Croce Manetti (1846-1910), it belongs to the Teresian Carmelite Institute and was built between 1900 and 1902 with the subsidies of the Antinori marquises by Giovanni Paciarelli in a classically inspired style to the architecture of the 15th century, in the area where in the past the gardens of the monastery of Sant'Anna al Prato were located.
